On December 18th, 2024, CDK plans to remove all access to CDK Drive outside of using their Unify system. What does this mean and how will it affect you? That's what we're here to answer today.
When CDK implements this change, the CDK SSO link on your desktop will no longer function. This means that we need to have another way to access CDK Drive. In order to do this, we're going to have to access the CDK Unify system. This will be done through our Federated system in MicroSoft. Simply go to https://portal.office.com to access your Microsoft account. On the left side of this page, you'll see an icon labeled "Apps". Click on this.
This page allows you to access all MicroSoft applications you are licensed for. The second section down labeled "Get work done" has two buttons. Click on the "Other Apps" button.
This will show you other apps you have access to through Oxmoor. Look for the CDK Unify app and click it.
Clicking the CDK Unify icon will open a seperate web page and launch CDK Unify. By default it puts you in the "Workflows" tab on the site.
Select the "Applications" tab, and there will be a link to CDK Drive on the list.
Click this icon to launch CDK Drive. You can continue working from here, or you may take an extra step and hit the three dots on the right hand side of the Drive button then choose "Add to My Unify". This will cause Unify to default to opening on the "My Unify" tab, with CDK Drive or any other appications you choose available for quick access.
If this is your first time accessing CDK Drive using this system, you may get the following popup. Insure the check box is selected, then hit "Open".
The following box may also appear. Hit "Run" to launch CDK Drive. Cancelling this will cause you to permanently lose access to CDK on your profile, requiring a complete reset of your profile on that computer.
Following that, CDK Drive should launch normally under your profile. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the IT Department.
